Am I too Possesive?

A month ago, I looked up my name on google. Only to find out that the person who owns it wasn’t me.  At first I thought very little about it, but I wondered how easy it would be to use your own first name instead of a username such as HybridVigor.  So my quest began to turn all my user ids into giancarlo, something simple I can use.

It turns out that the other millions of giancarlos’ of the world had beat me to the punch. This was such a disappointment, next thing I did was use the prefix the- before my name, and so I did.  Twitter, delicious, and other sites are @thegiancarlo.  I also managed to buy this domain, a major accomplishment for me (just $10) .  Now my new goal is to be the number 1 search result when you search giancarlo on google. Does this mean that I am becoming too possesive or anything of that sort?  I’m in the testing phase for this site. So please leave a comment so I can see if they work. ;-p
